The material of honeycomb ceramic carrier is cordierite, which provides an inert physical structure for carrying catalyst coatings. It is resistant to high temperatures, with a continuous working temperature of up to 1200 ºC, high strength and low coefficient of linear expansion. The porosity of ceramic carrier can reach 400-600 mesh/inch2 and the small wall thickness can reach about 0.16mm. It can enhance the mechanical strength of the catalyst, as well as its ability to resist wear, impact, gravity, compression, high temperature, and phase change. It improves the conductivity of the catalyst and reduces the content of active components, especially when using precious metal catalysts such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium, which can highly disperse the active components and reduce the dosage.
