Can I touch my rotors?
Yes, but it's not advisable for two reasons…
Touching can contaminate rotors with oils or dirt. Rotors also get very hot, risking injury.
If you must touch rotors, wipe them with isopropyl alcohol.
What happens if my brake pads get contaminated?
Clean brake pads with rubbing alcohol, and sand them. Replacement may be needed depending on contamination.
How do I know when to replace my brake pads?
