Product Description
High-performance air brake chamber
An air brake chamber is a device that converts compressed air into mechanical force to apply the brakes on heavy vehicles. It consists of a metal container with a flexible diaphragm, a pushrod, and a return spring. When the brake pedal is pressed, air fills the chamber, pushing the diaphragm to extend the pushrod and apply the brakes.
Specification
Types by function
Service brake chambers: These are the primary chambers for applying the brakes. They convert air pressure into mechanical force to activate the brakes during normal braking.
Spring brake chambers: These chambers are designed for emergency and parking brake functions.A powerful spring is held back by air pressure; when air is released, the spring applies the brakes.
Many are "piggyback" or "combination" chambers, meaning they have both a service brake chamber and a spring brake chamber in one unit.
Types by design and size
Single-diaphragm chambers: Contain a single diaphragm and are used in various sizes, such as Type 12, 16, and 20, to provide different levels of braking force depending on the application.
Double-diaphragm chambers: These chambers have two diaphragms and are commonly found in spring brake applications.
Standard stroke vs. long stroke:Standard stroke: A shorter stroke length that is often used in most applications.
Long stroke: A longer stroke length that provides more force for the same amount of air pressure, often identified by a longer stroke length (e.g., 3.5 inches or more) or a round port for the brake hose connection

How to make ?
Position the diaphragm: Place the rubber diaphragm inside one of the metal halves, ensuring it is properly seated.
Insert the plate and pushrod: Place the metal plate inside the diaphragm and attach the pushrod to it, making sure the pushrod is correctly aligned.
Join the halves: Carefully align the second metal half on top of the first, enclosing the diaphragm and the plate/pushrod assembly.
Secure the clamp: Apply the clamp to hold the two metal halves together firmly, creating a sealed chamber.
