What are the symptoms of a broken ball joint on a car?
The ball joints of the vehicle chassis are divided into steering tie rod end, rack end, stabilizer link rod and control arm ball joints. If the ball joints are damaged, the vehicle chassis will be damaged when driving on uneven roads, starting and braking, or turning left and right. It made a thumping sound. There are two ways from HDAG ball joint to determine whether the ball joint is damaged. One is to lift the vehicle first and check the rubber dust cover boot of the ball joint and tie rod end to see if there is oil leakage or oil seal cracking. And pull the control arm with your hand to see if you feel any obvious movement. If the fault is an early symptom and it is difficult to judge, you can first judge whether the steering ball joint and tie rod end is damaged by turning the steering left or right, then disconnect the ball joint of the balance bar, test drive on uneven roads, and judge whether there is abnormal noise, so as to check the balance and ball joint damaged or not. The second method is to use a wireless electronic stethoscope, clamp the stethoscope's induction clips on different ball joints and tie rod end in sequence, and judge the damaged ball joint and tie rod end based on the feedback noise decibels of the stethoscope.
