Product Description

| Wheel Hub Bearing
Introduction
Automotive wheel hubs rely on various bearing types, each tailored to specific vehicle models, load requirements, and operating conditions.
The selection primarily depends on factors like vehicle weight, drive type (front-wheel, rear-wheel, all-wheel drive), and performance demands.

DRACBB | Double-Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings
TRB | Tapered Roller Bearings
As detailed in the previous introduction, DRACBBs are a staple in passenger car front wheel hubs—especially for front-wheel-drive (FWD) vehicles.
- Their core advantage lies in balancing radial and bidirectional axial loads (e.g., from cornering and braking) within a compact structure.
- Unlike single-row bearings, they eliminate the need for paired installations, saving 15-20% axial space.
- Sealed variants (e.g., 2RS) with pre-greased designs also reduce maintenance, making them ideal for daily commuter cars where space and reliability are key.
- TRBs are common in rear wheel hubs of passenger cars, light trucks, and SUVs—particularly rear-wheel-drive (RWD) or four-wheel-drive (4WD) models.
- Their conical rolling elements and raceways excel at handling high radial and axial loads simultaneously, which is critical for rear hubs that bear additional stress from powertrain torque. They are often installed in pairs (in "back-to-back" or "face-to-face" configurations) to enhance stability.
- However, TRBs require periodic grease replenishment and precise preload adjustment, making them more common in vehicles where heavy-duty performance takes priority over low maintenance.

HUB UNIT | Hub Unit Bearings
DGBB | Deep Groove Ball Bearings
- Integrated hub unit bearings (often called "hub bearings" for short) have become the standard in modern vehicles (both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles).
- These units combine double-row bearings (either angular contact ball bearings or tapered roller bearings), a hub flange, and sensor mounting features (for ABS or wheel speed detection) into a single pre-assembled component.
They are widely used in both front and rear hubs of modern passenger cars, crossovers, and electric vehicles (EVs).
- While less common for primary wheel hub load-bearing, deep groove ball bearings are occasionally used in auxiliary wheel-related components (e.g., spare tire hubs, or light-duty rear hubs of small city cars).
- They can handle radial loads effectively but have limited axial load capacity compared to DRACBBs or TRBs.
- Their low cost and simple structure make them suitable for low-stress, non-drive wheel applications.
